INTERNATIONAL YOUTH CENTER BARLEBER SEE
By applying the container idea to the location, the form was to be dictated by the image
of an industrial product and a mobile unit.
The architects developed a compatible system of three modular constructive elements:
container, crown root, and porch. The robust simplicity of the containers and their fittings contains a narrative component,
which gives children the freedom to pass on
the story.
Through mutation and addition, an artifact was created somewhere between
it space station and an industrial shed.
The
structure became an icon, defining the location, serving as a landmark and itself becoming a container for stories and memories.
