The most remarkable part of the nearly completed house Zivcec (2004- 2005) by AFF Architects, ist he courtyard wall, composed of open, sculpted concrete blocks (´Halbschale´) which were developed in 1974 on the basis of a design by Hubert Schiefelbein, at that time a professor at the University of Architecture and Civil Engineering Weimar.
With its three-dimensional from it provent outsiders from looking directly into the private courtyard while allowing sufficient light to penetrate. The exhibition shows both the process of making these concrete elements and the result.
